Volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) refer to organic chemical compounds found in many paint products, solvents, and cleaning supplies. VOCs are released into the air as paint dries, and in some cases may cause acute or chronic symptoms. Typically, the highest concentrations of VOC are found indoors. Therefore, EPA and DEQ regulation guidelines are working to improve indoor air quality by requiring lower VOC contents in paint. At Sisu Painting, Inc. we use low VOC paints wherever possible.
